Two Things that should not happen in a college mountain town.
- Yeah, I know that the town, the county and even the school are about 98% white, but I just feel that I should tell you that blasting rap music does not make you cool. In fact, your street cred just plummeted because you are an asshole who makes a point of turning it up when you pull up next to me at a red light, and give me the thumbs up. As if I’m going to get out my car and start fucking poppin and lockin in the middle of a busy intersection. You. Are. A. Douche. I know I’m black, and you clearly know I’m black, but thanks anyway for the blatant over generalization and stereotyping, because if there’s one way to get in good with black folk, it’s through rap. Just don’t forget the fried chicken and watermelon.
- Of the 100 black kids on campus, at least half of them will feel the need to impress their white counterparts and thus “mean mug” anyone else who’s black with whom they are not personally acquainted. Get the fuck outta here with that shit. You are in Boone. It’s nine degrees outside, it snows five times a week in winter, and there are no hoopty impalas cruising through downtown. Who the fuck are you trying to impress? And yeah, if you stare at me, I’m gonna stare back. Maybe you had something important to say?

Perhaps you should do that? Pop and Lock, right there in the intersection? Right in front of their car, so when the light changes they can’t actually drive away? pull yer pants down around your ankles and flash the grill you keep in your pocket for just these exact moments? oh yeah.

I go to Appalachian State…and before the football team, it was a laid back place. Lots of hiking, biking, and hippies. I so miss the hippies.
Now it’s a Greek lettered death-trap.
Ah well…next time the rap thing happens, you’re right, I’ll probably just get out and act like a schizophrenic lil jon. It’ll at least be entertaining. :)

BoA Paid Back TARP Loan With Another Govt Loan
So no, they didn’t ‘repay’ us. They took out a loan from the Fed with none of the TARP restrictions (pay caps) and a super low rate because it’s good business and because our govt is still amazingly unreformed. So either our govt is incredibly stupid or it’s closely connected to the banking industry. HMM.
I’m gonna go with the “American people still kinda got screwed over option” for hell, let’s go big, 45 billion.
